P.E.P.S.A.E.E. is very excited to announce that the 1st experiential workshop of kinesthetic learning for socially vulnerable youth groups is officially completed!

It took place at Specialized Day Center – “Social Dialogue Center” of our organization on Friday 21st February 2020 in collaboration with the Experimental Intercultural High School of Athens.

Our team – 2 dance instructors, 1 musician and 2 psychologists – worked with 19 children aged 13-16 years old (and 2 teachers/carers) regarding the concept of critical understanding of self.

We decided to devote the first workshop to the idea of “unfolding” the participants’ capabilities and strengths through multiple games and fun exercises. We deeply believe that someone needs firstly to discover their very own special abilities before they reach out and connect with others. The initial embarrassment soon gave its place to participation, playfulness, expression and authentic reactions.

The intervention set of exercises was planned in cooperation with RHODES VOLUNTEER COMMUNITY, with which we will coordinate the second workshop right before our meeting in Latvia.

We will soon post our detailed report on the workshop. Stay tuned!

the Key to Connection is implemeneted in the framework of Erasmus+: Youth in Action  programme – key action 2, Strategic Partnership for exchange experiences.
