What Kind of Dance Fits Countryside?

Over a year 14 contemporary dance choreographers travel to LAUKKU residency village Lādezers to share their work through dancing, sharing movement practices and working methods and discussing.

The Wise of Burtnieki travel to Vecumnieki municipality

A first real LAUKKU tour! Works made as part of the project Searching for Burtnieki Treasures travel south to Bārbele. A new work is made in one day by a choreographer Eva Krūmiņa (LAT) and local participants.

The closing of the project by four short dance performances made by  Agnese Bordjukova (LAT), Annemari Autere (NOR/FR), Agate Bankava (LAT) and Linda Krūmiņa (LAT).

Walking, performances while walking, book making workshops and discussions, which continue throughout the year (until April 2018) start in Burtnieki. Themes: rural history and knowledge, and learning from the Burtnieki region. Performances: Agnese Bordjukova (LAT), Annemari Autere (NOR), Krista Brige (LAT), Valerijs Olehno (LAT) and Agate Bankava (LAT). Producer: Inta Balode (LAT). (First official LAUKKU project.) Mini dance festival, including performances by Valts Mikelsons, Ginta Zabarovska, Santa Grīnfelde, Krista Briģe, Tobias M. Draeger , Laima Jansone, Linda Krumina, Agnese Bordjukova and Kristine Brinina.

10 critics, producers and dance writers took part in a 4 day workshop. Supervisors: Annemari Autere, Agnese Bordjukova, Ginta Zabarovska, Kristine Brinina, Laima Jansone and Tobias M. Draeger . Producer: Inta Balode.

Mini dance festival, including performances by Elena Jacinta (LAT), Elena Angelova (BUL), Will Rawls (USA), luchiana achugar (USA), Moa Matilda Sahlin (SWE) and Elina Lutce (LAT).

20 critics, producers and dance writers took part in a 4 day workshop, where they discussed dance, philosophy and criticism.

Mini dance festival, including performances by Elīna Lutce (LAT), Dmitrijs Gaitjukevičs (LAT), Kristīne Borodina (LAT / FR), Elīna Gaitjukeviča (LAT), Katrīna Albuže (LAT), Olga Žitluhina (LAT). 20 critics, producers and dance writers took part in a 5 day workshop, where they were taught dance, philosophy, dance history and criticism.

Mini dance festival, including performances by “Ritms”, Elina Gaitjukeviča (LAT), Sintija Siliņa (LAT), Krišjānis Sants (LAT), Olga Žitluhina (LAT), where there were also dance open dance lessons for people. 20 critics, producers and dance writers took part in a 5 day workshop, where they were taught dance, philosophy, dance history and criticism.
